After 6 years traveling around the world, I've never been to another restaurant that really irrigates my mouth when I remember Maryland. I grew up here and worked at nearby medical offices at Rockville Pike. Every lunch, id go to this restaurant rain, shin or slip and order practically the same. Half a chicken, Yucca and Plantains. I knew the owner, he knew me too. I told him my stories about my travels through the Peruvian Amazons, the dry highlands of Arequipa, and the coastal fishing villages in Paracas. It was really one of my favorite experiences. Regarding food, it is not a five star restaurant, nor has it won any awards, or get perfect reviews on Google Maps. It's a restaurant you go for lunch. It's hearty, warm, cozy food that suits me. I hope you give them an attempt to understand their flavors. Thanks for reading.
Peruvian cuisine is amazing!!! I've never seen anything like that before. The more I eat, the more I want to eat! The Peruvian chicken is amazingly hot, juicy and never tastes dry. I must be in heaven! The chicken tastes sooo good!!! Personally, it feels like a home cooking place for me. You should also try the drink “Chicha”! It's my first time to drink it and it doesn't taste too sweet, but it's very good. It is a lot of food so you can order a 1/2 chicken with rice and black beans share it with someone or take it home for dinner.
I enjoy eating everything I ordered. Not much more to say at this time!
Excellent. We had Peruvian Chicken, Pupusas and Yuca. Everything was the best I had in the area. Do not forget to ask for extra yellow sauce!
So I go way back when it comes to chicken basket.
