Il Pizzico - Rockville

My rating 92 (food 71/75, ambiance 7/10, service 14/15). Lisa's rating 89. Bustling spot run by real Italians on an industrial stretch of Rockville Pike. It's upscale, not a red checkered tablecloth Italian joint. We had: 1. Ravioli di funghi al pistacchio (they did the pastas as a half order for us) 2. Bucatini con pancetta e pomodoro 3. Gamberi e capesante alla Kiara shrimp and scallops with fennel and pancetta in a brandy cream sauce (wow was this good) 4. Scaloppine alla Sandra veal cutlet with pine nuts, raisins and rosemary in a wine sauce 5. Chocolate mousse 6. Apple crostata our favorites (but everything was good)

Best Italian I've had outside of Italy. I love this place. Everyone should come here.

Have heard of Il Pizico for ages and finally went to celebrate my bday. great food and ambiance. service was top notch!

Best Italian in Rockvile. A family own restaurant. Where everything is fresh. No other restaurant serves carpaccio, there you can find the best one! The pasta is amazing too! If you have someone special and you want to impress that person with a great food, this is the place!

It's good for sure but overrated imho . This place has been here for decades ; has a huge following and I think a lot of people have been going for years and they are known by name . I thought their portion was on the small side , enough for me and was able to finish . That is actually better ; I'm not crazy about doggie bags .
