The food was delicious and there was no additional charge for tea. We ordered eggplant, vegetable dumplings, and vegetable tofu, requesting them to be non-spicy, and they were just as we wanted. It took a while to place our order, but the food arrived quickly.
We went to this restaurant for dinner before our flights and were not disappointed. The handmade Xiao Long Bao was a highlight, and you could watch the ladies making them through the glass window as soon as you walked in. The beef noodle soup was excellent, with tender beef, and the fried rice cake noodles had just the right amount of spice. The service was great, with a attentive waiter who promptly brought us tea and water as soon as we sat down. The bathroom was also clean, which is always a good sign of a restaurant's overall cleanliness and hygiene.
We have orange chicken, beef with broccoli, jumbo shrimp w veg and hot and acid soup. Everything was great, the best Chinese food in months. The soup was not too spicy, but very tasteful. FYI the soup is not vegetarian, had chicken. The orange chicken was sticky and crisp. None of the sauces was thin and watery.
From San Francisco, which is the Chiness Food Hospital on the West Coast, I was skeptical to find good quality Chinese food on the East Coast. Good low and see Shanghai button! That was better than most places in SF. I highly recommend it. Fresh food with good portions and friendly service. Give the place a try. You will not be disappointed!
