Sichuan Jin River - Rockville

Food is great. the interior decorations are a bit dated feels like from the 1990s.

Somewhat hole in the wall feel. But food is really good and portions are large. I particularly enjoy the spicy foods.

We had been to this restaurant more than 10 years ago and always curious to return. We are glad we actually did. Food is delicious and authentic. A native from Sichuan I could see a lot of authentic touches in the dishes that are hard to find in other restaurants in the area. The portions are very generous comparing to the price. Three of us walked out with a $90 bill after ordering three entrees one appetizer and one desert. The ambiance needs some work as you can see a lot of boxes piled right in front of you when you enter and decor needs some improvement. Service is ok but waiters could be more enthusiastic.

The dishes we ordered are traditional in Sichuan Chengdu. They taste much better than the last time I was in this restaurant shortly after its opening years ago.

This place has amazing sichuan food at reasonable prices. So many good options. Try everything.
