The bistro has rebranded as Red Salt Restaurant, which sounds promising. However, the experience falls short with mediocre food, slow service, and high prices in a location lacking in charm. It feels more like a department store cafeteria than a restaurant.
The food at this restaurant is a bit pricey for the portion sizes. I ordered the prawn pasta in the entrée size and was disappointed to only receive two prawns with lots of pasta. Another person at the table ordered the main size and only got four prawns. Some of the other meals at the table were undercooked, with only a few out of ten being satisfactory. On a return visit, I tried the San Choy Bouy for lunch and found it to be delicious and a good option for a smaller meal. Overall, opinions on this restaurant seem to be mixed, with some patrons having both positive and negative dining experiences.
This bistro is now calling itself Red Salt Restaurant, sounds great, but sadly that's where it ends. Average food, taking forever to turn up and overpriced in a venue with all the charm of a department store cafeteria.
Woul eat there again. A welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Great good. Meals delicious and large serving
