Algarve - ROCKY HILL

We visited this restaurant for the first time and will definitely be back. It was a Tuesday night, so it wasn't very busy, but there was only one waitress covering about six tables, which made the service a bit slow. However, the food was excellent. The only disappointment was the orange sherbet for dessert, which had crystallized and tasted off; I took two bites and left the rest. The appetizers, including fried mozzarella and grilled shrimp, were both very good, and the sauce on the mozzarella was delicious. For our main course, we had eggplant Parmesan, which came with a wonderfully tasty tomato sauce. We'll be returning, and we hope there will be more than one waitress working next time!

Excellent dining experience and a fantastic alternative to other local chain restaurants.

I visited Algarve expecting authentic Portuguese cuisine, but I was disappointed. The dinner was more Italian quality with only a few Portuguese dishes on the menu, and those didn't reflect traditional Portuguese food. It’s an alright place if you’re looking for a fun bar atmosphere after dinner, but not ideal for genuine Portuguese dining.

I came here for lunch on Saturday afternoon and was thrilled to try the Portuguese menu. You can see the restaurant directly from the street and they have their own parking lot that is great. We sat pretty fast and it was cool that they had an Italian and a Portuguese side of the menu. The menu was great and the whole food we got was very big portions and well made. We came for lunchtime and didn't get the lunch menu until we were asked what is interesting, but we can still order from him. After some more tables appeared, it took a little longer to get the attention of our server, but it seemed the only one there so that it was understandable. Overall, I would recommend tasting this place for the great food! I'll be there for Happy Hour.
