Mitchell's - ROCKY HILL

I visited for the first time and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. I definitely plan to return during my time in Connecticut.

Food is priced correctly. The staff goes above and beyond. FYI : all the people who complain on here are just miserable people. Cook at home if you don’t like food cooked by others.

Although my father used to be a big fan of Denny's, he seems to have found a new place to love—though he’s still getting accustomed to the change. At 82 years old, he’s a Vietnam veteran and a former Air Force Drill Sergeant, so it’s going to take some work to help him adjust to higher prices, as he’s typically drawn to the budget-friendly options at Denny's. For his birthday, the family wanted to treat him to five-star restaurants, but he prefers casual places like Friendly's, which are no longer around. However, I have faith that he will come to appreciate Mitchell's soon enough. The location is perfect for him since he doesn’t like to drive far; it feels like heaven! One downside is that they close at 2 PM, but I understand the business needs. The morning rush from 6 AM to 2 PM can be exhausting, and I can see why they want to keep their reliable staff. If they were open on Christmas, I would definitely want to celebrate there with my family—unless, of course, the bumbling dogs get to the turkey first, leading us to head out for a meal instead! (Just a little joke from *A Christmas Story.*)
