Buddy's Bbq - Rocky Mount

Buddy's is a relatively new restaurant in the area, and as a BBQ lover, I knew I had to give it a try. They offer individual meat plates as well as family platters featuring brisket, pulled pork, chicken wings, and half chickens, accompanied by all the delicious sides. Upon entering, you'll be greeted by friendly staff in a modern yet rustic setting that's so charming I’d love to have a space like it in my own home. The service was excellent, and the prices were quite reasonable compared to other BBQ joints. It’s clear that this place is a local favorite, as you'll need to visit during off-peak hours to snag a table. The brisket was juicy, the pulled pork was top-notch, but the hush puppies were truly unique. They seemed to be preparing them in a style reminiscent of funnel cakes. Normally, I'm not a fan of hush puppies, but these were the best I’ve ever tasted! I would return just for them, not to mention the BBQ. If you ever find yourself in this small town in Virginia, you must check it out!

I have to begin by praising the beans—they were absolutely delicious! The hush puppies were both sweet and flavorful. Overall, the food was fantastic. I also appreciated the unique touches in the bathroom. Additionally, the staff was warm and welcoming.

Great restaurant with delicious grill! The nachos were mostly broken chips, but it was delicious! The service was wonderful. The Hush puppies are like funnel cakes!

We tried the ultimate burger, and it was incredible! The best hush puppies I've ever had! They also have their own homemade BBQ sauce, which is delicious as well. Definitely give it a try!

Working in Rocky Mount Va today came across this gem! Will definitely be back when I’m in the area! Great atmosphere, service, hush puppies didn’t even need butter! I got the spiced up beans which are Wow!! that pulled bbq! Check out the smoke ring on that brisket! Wish I would have more time to meet the pit master!
