Would have been nice to know before we decided on food options for our table. The Askinose Chocolate desert was a delight and it is great to support a local business
We visited for my wife's birthday, and I brought a cake to celebrate with our party of six. When I asked the gentleman who seated us about bringing the cake, he assured me it wouldn't be an issue and stored it in the kitchen refrigerator while we dined. Once we were ready for dessert, we were surprised to be told there was a $35 plating fee. This is an outrageous charge, especially since our group had already spent over $700 on appetizers and three bottles of wine. While I appreciate that the restaurant is popular and serves excellent food, they need to remember that customer service is essential. Fees like this can drive customers away, and unfortunately, we won’t be coming back. Additionally, they don’t answer the phone, making it difficult to get any questions answered before your visit.
All food delicious! Why 3 stars? This is a small plate restaurant. You get small portions for a lot of . Example: last visit I ordered a dinner salad. The salad (though good) was served in a standard size side salad bowl and barely covered the bottom of the bowl. Salad price? 12. I always say a restaurant can be a ?value? at 10 or 100. It just depends on what you pay for what you get(certainly includes quality). I have been to Harvest twice. For me it is just not a value. Won?t be back.
Delightful farm-to-table dining in a serene, calm, and genuine atmosphere. The small plates are of exceptional quality and surprisingly affordable. The oysters were incredibly flavorful, and the toro carpaccio was among the best I've ever tasted.
I made a reservation, but there were several empty tables when we arrived. We were seated at a small, uneven round table in the screened porch area, which was a bit frustrating and not quite suitable for the occasion—better suited for drinks or appetizers than for dinner. The wine selection by the glass was limited, and the only Cabernet available was just okay. However, the cocktail menu was appealing with plenty of options. The appetizers were excellent and appropriately portioned for one person. All the food was well-prepared, beautifully plated, and seasoned perfectly, so I have no complaints about the quality or preparation. The foie gras was particularly good. On the downside, I wasn't very impressed with the dessert menu. I would give this place five stars, but I felt the food was a bit overpriced, and the atmosphere didn’t quite meet our expectations for the evening.
