Sad experience with the food. Torta was extremely dry and lacked flavor, with a ton of lettuce that tastes like it has not been washed. I had to Add seasoning of my own and a ton of salsa which only made it a little better. The meat overall is bland. We felt the same with the sope, it had an interesting flavor that I can not pinpoint and overall was not pleasing.+1 star for the salsa all 3 were delicious with a variety of flavor and spice

Machetes, and the quesabirrias are phenomenal!! The agua de piña is also great! Good friendly staff. Excited to see their second restaurant open up in downtown SR in the next couple of months!!!

Carne asada torta was cold when I got home. Already soggy into bread. It was just ok. Nothing special Also the last time I got a Chile relleno burrito. Same thing. Cold and not good. The younger cook on Sundays is not as good as the older guy who can cook.

One star for poor customer service. The person who answers the phone seems to only speak Spanish. Our Spanish is not great to navigate a full phone conversation. The solution is simple. This could have gone better if, one, they had a person on staff who can speak to non-Spanish speaking customers. A little of Spanish (by the customer) and a little of English (by the restaurant) may have increased the chance for a successful order. Two, if they have a slightly quieter place for phone conversation or less loud music. The music in the background was loud and disruptive for a practical phone conversation.

One Star for timing: I mean it shouldn't take 50 minutes to get 5 tacos. When I asked what took so long they said the kitchen takes all orders in order they come in which includes orders made over the phone. That phone didn't stop ringing the whole time I was there. You would think people inside would get their food faster than people that ordered from home. Just quote them a little bit longer wait time. 50 minutes for five tacos! Five stars for the food. Really good tacos, but it could have been from starvation.
