Good place. Didn't realize they opened a restaurant down the street from my apartment in NY. Very intimate experience with nice wine and food. They had buttered wheels in a fata and cheese sauce that reminded me of my childhood with the Hot Wheels Mac N' Cheese. It was awesome. The meatballs were good, not great. Amazing service, which is a massive plus given what part of the world you're in. Super solid experience overall. Service: Dine in
We were looking forward to trying Rimessa after having been to the original Roscoli and Antico Forno. Unfortunately this spot didn’t quite live up to expectations. They were apparently sold out of the bottle we tried to order off the wine list so instead recommended a Cerasuolo (rosato) that was vintage 2018. The wine was past its prime. Our pastas and soup were okay but nothing extraordinary though the cheese plate was simple and lovely. I’d come back for a glass of wine and a cheese board.
Not sure where all these great reviews are coming from. Sure the servers started off great but the wait times were inexcusable. May have been an off night during off season? But doubtful considering all the locals around us were getting food first. Almost 2 hours to get our mains, meanwhile table that got seated right after us paid and were walking out. Foreigners. Beware. Service: Dine in
