Questo è un gioiello nascosto in Italia. Ottimo cibo e molte opzioni per soddisfare i tuoi gusti. Ci sono molti posti a sedere disponibili, alcuni all'aperto, all'interno e al piano inferiore.

Very friendly staff, good selection of food and spirits. Very nice ambiance and reasonably priced.
It was a rainy night in Rome but I was so hungry so I went out anyway. That being said I knew that I would not be venturing too far from the bed and breakfast in which I was staying. I passed a few places that looked interesting but what appealed about Zigateana as I approached the restaurant was that I saw several local couples enter. Usually that's a good sign for good authentic food when it's popular by the local residents and not just the tourists. I entered and from the top of the stairs you could see the entire restaurant. There was a large wood fired oven in the back of the restaurant, the lights were dim and the tables were filled with small groups and couples chatting and eating. I felt like I had made a good choice. I was seated in the middle of the restaurant with a view of the whole place. I perused the menu and there were so many options. I was having difficulty choosing one so I asked my server about a few. She suggested the spaghetti with swordfish and zucchini flowers as the preferred choice from the options I was considering. At her suggested that is what I ordered. When the bowl of pasta was delivered, it looked like a work of art. When I taste it, it was good. The sauce was light yet full of flavor. The swordfish was cubed, flaky and dispersed throughout. The dish was filling and delicious. I did not order dessert but the table next to me did and they looked amazing. They must have taste amazing too because they both cleared their plates. Had I not been full or had someone to share it with, I would have definitely ordered one after seeing the options my neighbors selected. This was a great refuge from the cold and rain. I enjoyed my meal and my dining experience.
