The Sweet - Rome

We love the Sweet Bar. I'm a little bit of a self-proclaimed donut aficionado, happily discovering Rome had among the best donuts we've eaten (living in the military we've lived in many metro areas (Phoenix, Las Vegas, Kansas City, Washington D.C., Salt Lake City, etc... ,You cannot beat the early glazed donuts made fresh daily. Yeast raised donuts...old school. Some things just cannot be replicated without the old school ways.

I can’t review the cakes as I have never gotten one. The doughnuts though, ? ?. Got a dozen for my coworkers birthday and they are amazing!

The cake decorating could definitely use some improvement considering the prices. Their cakes look and taste quite similar to those from Sam's Club, which is rather average. I've heard that a baker from the Food Network will be arriving in town, and they might give this place some serious competition.

I’ve been eating donuts, cakes and cupcakes from this bakery for years. It’s my go to stop for my sweet tooth in Rome when I don’t feel like making it myself. Friendly people and yummy treats. The cakes I’ve ordered have always been perfectly done.

The donuts never disappoint!! The blueberry muffin I just inhaled was the best I've ever eaten! This place is a true treasure <3
