Long John Silver's - Ronceverte

Absolutely the best chicken I've ever had! I really enjoy it with malt vinegar. The hush puppies were incredibly fresh and delicious. The tea was the best I've tasted in a long time. There were no lines or waiting, and the customer service was excellent.

My family and I grew up in this neighborhood and have dined at this restaurant numerous times over the years until I moved away. I still visit the area every couple of months to see family who live just 10 minutes from the restaurant, and occasionally we stop by to eat. Sometimes, I pick up food for my elderly father as well. A few weeks ago, I decided to grab a large iced tea while I was there. When I asked the manager on duty if I could have a small to-go container, she refused, stating that I could only get one if I ordered food. I was taken aback; I only wanted a small container for some leftover food. I have spent a significant amount of money at this restaurant over the years, and yet I was denied this simple request. When I mentioned that I wouldn’t be returning in the future, she merely rolled her eyes at me. I also shared my experience with my friends and family who live nearby. With service like this, I can’t see how this restaurant will stay in business much longer. They have certainly lost my patronage and that of my extended family as well. Additionally, the exterior of the restaurant is in terrible condition and desperately needs updating.

Despite there being fewer than ten people in the restaurant at 6 PM on a Sunday evening, it took an astonishing 25 minutes for my food to arrive!

I visited on a Sunday, and there were five employees behind the counter. My family and I stood there for about five minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. The only ones who seemed to care were the two male employees; the rest had a rather indifferent attitude. This location used to be great when Dale Wallace was in charge, but now the customer service is terrible and the place is dirty.
