Strathmore Bagels - Ronkonkoma

I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich with cooked onions on a slightly toasted everything bagel. I can't understand how a cook or owner would allow such poor quality food to leave the kitchen, as if they think customers won't notice or it will be too late by the time they do. I won’t be returning to this place, and I can't recommend it to anyone. They clearly didn’t put in any effort—the bagel was burnt and the onions were so stringy they were inedible. I ended up throwing the sandwich away; it was too far to go back.

The home fries were cold and seemed very old—so burnt that they were hard—and instead of nice cubes of potato, I was served crumbled bits. For over $12, the value simply isn’t there. I would not recommend dining here unless it’s your only option. I would have preferred going to IHOP or driving to another bagel shop.

This location has undergone a change in management and has also changed its name. Be sure to check the storefront so you’re not misled by the staff inside. Prices have gone up, portion sizes have decreased, and I was shortchanged. I won’t be returning here and will instead go to the authentic Strathmore Bagels in Stony Brook.

First and last time I?d ever come here. What happened to being greeted properly and when asking a question getting a response instead of silence or an mumbled attitude answer? For $8 on 2 bagels the guy didn?t even add napkins in the bag and as for thebagels, they were stale and the cream cheese wasn?t fresh to me, scallion cream cheese had no flavor to it what?s so ever, veryupsetting.

The new management and new name has ruined this bagel store. I have been coming to strathmore since high school, ever since it became big time bagels, you get less, don?t even get a drink with a sandwich, prices went way up, service is awful, the last 3times my order was wrong. Time to find a new bagel place. Everyone I talk to agrees as well. Way to ruin one of the best bagelplaces in the area.
