We recently went to a friend?s home there in Roseburg and were served this really delicious wine. We truly enjoyed it (and we have a California palate, which seems to look for real heartiness. So we made a trip out to the winery for a full tasting! Wewere not disappointed! Very good. BTW: It was so hot that day. About 100 degrees°! We were very hot but sat outside so wecould overlook the beautiful valley. We will be back.
They have a nice tasting area, but I personally didn't think the wines were as interesting as other vineyards in the area which is the only reason I went with 4 stars. Wish I could do 4.5. It's possibly due to the tiny glasses they use they're cute, butI think they suffocate the wines a bit. They do have a good variety, an awesome cheese plate, lots of tables indoor and outdoorand really nice staff!
What a beautiful place! Very inviting inside and out. Outside are tables with umbrellas to shield you from the sun. The deck overlooks the vineyards and the mountains in the distance. When we arrived on a Thursday afternoon in September, we were greetedand served promptly. There were only a couple of other tables occupied. We enjoyed most of the wines and in particular the Roseand Pinot Noir which we bought. It would be nice if they waived the tasting fee when you purchased a couple bottles. All in all,an enjoyable way to spend an hour or two! Update to my original review: I went back and looked at my receipt and we did receivea 10% discount. Thanks to the owner for pointing that out!
My family visited Oregon for the month of April and the RV park we stayed at gave us a free wine tasting voucher for Cooper Ridge Vineyard. I left the kids with my husband and went out to see what kind of wine they had and hopefully buy a bottle toremember Oregon by. I arrived and immediately felt out of place and unwelcome. The older gentleman serving the wine made noeffort to have a conversation with me or recommend a wine that I might like. After finishing the tasting (with gorgeous viewsout on the patio! I went in to see if there were any dessert wines I could purchase, but wasn't even acknowledged as I enteredback into the building so I left without purchasing anything sadly. Beautiful facility and location but their customer servicewas lacking.
