Emily's Place - Rosedale

I visited the restaurant on June 22, 2022 and the gumbo was amazing. I also enjoyed the mac and cheese, green beans, and trout. I can't wait for my next visit.

I dined at this restaurant twice. The first time I tried the short ribs for brunch and the stuffed French toast. The French toast was delicious, but the short ribs were too salty for my taste. During my second visit, I ordered the jerk chicken with sweet potatoes, green beans, and a cup of gumbo. The food was tasty, but the coleslaw was overly salty. I plan on returning to try the pork chops and cheesecakes next time.

We went to this restaurant for the R&B brunch. The ambiance was lively and the DJ was great. It's also BYOB, which is a plus. The menu seemed promising and they also have other dishes that aren't listed. However, we encountered a problem with the slow service - it took over an hour and a half for our food to arrive after ordering. When it did come, some of the dishes were lukewarm. The owner kindly removed the items we had to send back from the bill.

We waited for more than 30 minutes to eat! the cash was very rude, she snored the menu from my hand while I ordered and it was a terrible experience the tables were dirty very old! the fish was very salty over cooked! emily’s place is a totally joke! customer service and eating was the worst! this place must close down asap!

I ordered the honey old bay wings with 2 sides (mac n cheese, candied sweet potatoes). The wings were to die for. I really wanted to try the black gold sauce but the chef said it's spicy, so I did not get it. Honey old bay was perfect. The wings were fried to perfection. I really enjoyed the mac n cheese. It's definitely a taste of his own. The candied sweet potatoes weren't sweet enough (for me), but they did taste good. It comes with sweet potato cornbread, which I wasn't a fan of. I also ordered the red velvet cheesecake brownie. Didn't like it. Other than that very clean spot, food was ready on time, friendly owner, and tasty food.
