After 35 minutes, we started asking what was going on and were told there were a lot of large orders causing delays. I have two requests for the owner: 1) Please inform customers of long wait times before they order, especially when children are involved. Anything less is disrespectful. 2) Hire someone who can manage orders and who enjoys working with people. The lack of attention to our wait and the feeble excuse that the food was freshly made sealed the deal for me to write this review, despite my desire to support local businesses. Respect should be mutual. Unfortunately, I have felt sick since eating half of my $50 lunch that we waited an hour for. I will update if it turns out to be food poisoning.
My family and I attempted to dine at this restaurant last Sunday evening and it was the worst experience we've ever had. Our food orders came to over $100, but after waiting over 30 minutes, we still had not received our meals. The waiter brought out a small order of fries and assured us that the rest of our food would be coming soon. Another 20 minutes went by with no food in sight, so I asked the manager to cancel the order and refund our money. Instead of issuing a refund, the manager charged us double! Meanwhile, other customers arrived and received their orders, while we were left empty-handed. Not only did we lose our money, but we also missed out on the dinners we had ordered. This was our first and last visit to this restaurant. The service was extremely poor, as was the management.
The restaurant provided delicious food, generous portions, exceptional and speedy service. The dining experience was rated highly, with a meal type of dinner and an average price of $10-20 per person. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a perfect score of 5. Additionally, there was ample parking available in a free parking lot.
A colleague directed me to Kosher Holy Schnitzel. Normally, I don 't expect much from a kosher sandwich shop outside the city. Normally, I just hope it 's edible. Quite the opposite for Holy Schnitzel. I ate the signature Holy Sandwhich, kinda like a hoagie and kinda like a poboy, but really, it 's own thing. It was scrumptious, I gobbled it all down with a cold soda pop. Usually, sauces, for me, are just lame combos of general food stuff, like McDonalds ' Thousand Island, so-called 'secret sauce '. But Holy Schnitzel 's sauce, whatever it is, totally complemented the meats and accouterments inside. My colleague took an extra sandwich home for later eating as well. Thus, he voted with his stomach. So, 5 stars for the Holy Schnitzel sandwich. Next time in Central Jersey, I 'll stop by again.
