Beijing Tasty House Běi Jīng Yuán

I went to the restaurant on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. to have dinner and was surprised that it wasn't as busy as I had anticipated. Nonetheless, there were people waiting for us to finish our meal. We ordered a variety of dishes, but I can't remember their names as I wasn't the one who placed the order. The duck was delicious with crispy skin and tender meat. I wish they had given us more wraps or pancakes to go with it. Each dish we ordered was flavorful and not as salty as some reviews had mentioned. I was only able to take pictures of some of the dishes we ordered. My favorites included fried tofu stir-fried with vegetables, Peking duck, fried shrimp with walnuts, and cold noodles. The cold noodles reminded me of Korean cold noodles. While the other dishes were also good, I will definitely order these favorites again next time.

I have been dining at this restaurant for two years now and every dish I have tried has been amazing. My personal favorites are the whole fish soup, sizzling bark mapo tofu, pork stew, and lamb soup. The food here is delicious and authentic, reflecting its background as Peking Tasty House. Those who are originally from Peking will surely love this restaurant and keep coming back. With such great food, this restaurant is sure to stay in business for a long time. However, some dishes can be very salty, so I sometimes opt for a sweet dish or order takeout and add some steamed vegetables at home. The portions are generous, the atmosphere is pleasant, the prices are fair, and the service is decent.
