They had a buy one get one deal on Thai iced tea that day, which was a delightful surprise. The tea wasn't as sweet as it is at most places, allowing the true taste of the tea to shine through.
The pho at this restaurant is delicious and the broth is flavorful. The barbecued meats are also excellent.
Since moving to Rosemead, this was my first time exploring the hidden culinary gems in the area. I kicked off my meal with the delightful Vietnamese fried egg rolls which were incredibly crispy and served in easy-to-eat sticks. I particularly enjoyed wrapping them in salad, as Vietnamese cuisine is known for its sweet flavors. As for main courses, I highly recommend the chopped chicken noodle soup, diced steak over tomato paste rice, grilled shrimp, pork, and egg roll over dried vermicelli. These dishes not only look enticing on the menu, but they are also incredibly delicious and well-prepared. The noodles were silky smooth, the rice was fragrant, and the vermicelli was the perfect base for its toppings. The pork and shrimp were tender and juicy, and I was pleasantly surprised by the fantastic texture and flavors. My server recommended a medium spice level which was spot on. And for all the durian lovers out there, don't miss out on the MUST-TRY durian x avocado drink. I have never come across this unique combination anywhere in the world, and it was incredibly thick and delicious thanks to the real durian and avocado used. Even those who typically steer clear of durian would appreciate the pleasant smell and taste. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that I never expected to find in the USA. Thank you, Rosemead!
