Barbara's Bagels - ROSLYN HEIGHTS

Barbara's Bagels was an absolutely delightful surprise! After attending a wedding, we were on our way out of town and I had a craving for a lox bagel. My husband (who you can see in the picture) found this gem through a quick Google search. As soon as we walked in, it was clear that this place is a local favorite. The owner or manager was incredibly friendly and greeted regular customers by name. I ordered a lox bagel with scallion cream cheese on an everything bagel, while my husband enjoyed a bacon, egg, and cheese on a sesame bagel. He claimed it was the best bagel sandwich he’s ever had! We both also indulged in some delicious iced coffee. The bagels were large, with a crunchy exterior and a soft interior. My only wish is that they offered capers for the lox bagel. When we return for our next Long Island wedding, we will definitely be making a stop at Barbara's Bagels!
