Brooks Country House - Ross-on-Wye

We spent a few nights here and enjoyed amazing meals in the restaurant. The staff was incredibly helpful, and the atmosphere was relaxed with pleasant music playing. We will definitely return and are looking forward to more delightful food.

My experience was average overall. The rooms could use updates, particularly in terms of soundproofing. However, the stay was generally acceptable, and the breakfast was nice. The grounds are beautiful, and the location is fantastic.

I got married here a few months ago, and while most aspects of the day went smoothly, there were some disappointments. The food was delicious, even though it was slightly different from what we had chosen. However, I was extremely disappointed that the hot tub was not turned on. I asked the manager repeatedly throughout the wedding why it wasn’t functioning, and I was promised that it would be turned on—around 15 times, in fact. Unfortunately, it never happened. I was further promised that it would be ready in the morning, but it still wasn’t operational. Given that I paid 7,000 dollars for my wedding, I expected to have access to all the facilities. It was incredibly frustrating to feel misled repeatedly. Additionally, I noticed that most of the staff were using the heated pool at night, which was disappointing.

Fabulous food surrounds and swimming pool. Room and WiFi disappointing

Visited this venue where we were married, for our 10 year anniversary. No ice! Beer choice was poor! No access to some facilities due to a wedding! Staff inexperienced and bed extremely uncomfortable. Food was nice but not that much choice.
