Contribuisci feedbackThe fresh fish and seafood here are cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, making it my favorite place to eat. The bouillabaisse and chowder are absolutely amazing. They even smoke their own salmon!
I'm currently enjoying a fantastic meal at James at the Seafood Bar. The food is exquisite, and the staff is very helpful. I will definitely be coming back!
I was quite surprised by my experience. We had a party of five, and while the service was a bit inconsistent, it was still acceptable. Three of our meals were cooked to perfection; I couldn't have asked for anything better. However, the monkfish was slightly overcooked, and the Torbay sole was very disappointing, as there was hardly any meat on it and it seemed undercooked. The name "Torbay sole" is somewhat misleading; we assumed it would be a lemon sole or Dover sole caught in the Torbay area, which is already quite rare (our family is from Brixham and often goes sea fishing). Unfortunately, the waitress couldn't tell us the common name of the fish, and we only realized it was a flounder when it was served.
I had a fantastic lunch today! The fish was fresh and cooked to perfection.
A truly delicious lunch, loved James talking through the dishes and sharing some trade secrets a joy to watch! Will be back, regularly x
