The Sundance Saloon Grill - Rothbury

This restaurant can be best described as putting lipstick on a pig. It is beautiful in appearance, but the food is incredibly bad with bland flavors. It seems as though the dishes were made hastily, possibly straight from a food truck with minimal effort. Our waiter tried hard, but they made several mistakes due to the busy nature of the restaurant. The management should be better prepared for the spring break rush.

This restaurant is one of the best places within a 20-mile radius. The food and service are excellent. I will definitely be returning!

Visited during our stay at JJs, the server was very nice, she made sure we were happy with our food, got refills quickly, and was very patient with us. The food itself was good too, my boyfriend has a burger and I the ravioli, both were great. The only thing that was little bit of a let down was the appetizer, the buffalo chicken dip, because it was mostly just melted mozzarella cheese. Regardless the dip still tasted good, and the portions of everything were great for the prices.

We had some drinks at the bar, then returned for dinner in the bar after tubing. Our server, April, was absolutely fabulous. She took great care of us at the bar, offering recommendations for drinks and went out of her way to locate a hard to find bottle of spirits. At dinner, she again showed professionalism, talking care of our party, along with another large group seated in the bar area, almost singlehandedly. We also found quite a variety on the menu, and everything we ordered exceeded expectations. Thanks April!

I am absolutely blown away by this place. It truly is paradise. The scenery is stunning, the food is delicious, and the kids' activities are top-notch. I also have to give a shoutout to Jared B for being so kind and helpful. My family and I will definitely be making this an annual trip. Plus, they even host the Electric Forest music festival in the summer. This place truly has everything you could ask for.
