I witnessed a staff member putting their fingers inside the cup that I was about to drink from. I requested two clean cups and informed her that she had touched the previous ones with her fingers. She denied it and argued with me. I spoke to the manager, who advised that she has had this conversation many times and trains her staff on cleanliness, instructing them not to put their fingers inside cups. The manager explained that if the public knew the potential risks of this happening, more people would complain. The manageress was receptive to my feedback, and I appreciate her attentiveness.

I would rate this cafe 0 stars if I could, as we ended up not staying to eat. We arrived at 2:20 pm for Afternoon Tea, only to be told that there were no sandwiches available, despite there being sandwiches on display. When I asked the staff about this, they stated that Afternoon Tea is subject to availability, although this is not mentioned in their advertisements. It seems they are simply selling off any leftover sandwiches and cakes to create an Afternoon Tea, if they have any at all. Additionally, when my daughter requested a chicken burger and chips, we were informed that there were no chips available. The lady with blonde curly hair working there was quite rude, so we decided to take our business elsewhere. If you are considering trying their Afternoon Tea, be aware that there is no guarantee you will actually receive it, even if you arrive early. It is best not to travel specifically for their Afternoon Tea, as you may end up disappointed. We chose to dine elsewhere, where they do not serve leftovers. Poor marketing strategy, M&S.

The restaurant appears to have been recently renovated and the menu options are quite good. We only tried the toasted teacakes with jams and coffee (my salted caramel coffee was delicious). The view of the sea is beautiful, the staff are helpful and professional. Overall, it's a job well done. Good value for the price as well.

A good place to go for Coffee or a snack, the view from the cafe has a wonderful panorama of the beach, and the train runs by the beach.
