Strand House - Rother

Fantastic staff and B&B . Stayed for 1 night the accommodation was lovely very clean and well decorated. We took our two dogs and they were made to feel special the breakfast sausage for the dogs was great our dogs loved it . Our breakfast was very tasty and well presented. The honest bar was another great idea and sat by the inglenook fire with our glass of wine was a nice end the the evening . We stayed in a suite upstairs with a beautiful view and our dogs sat for ages by the french doors watching the rabbits . Overall will definitely go back for longer next time .

We attended our friends wedding here a couple of weeks ago....and what a delightful weekend it was. The Strand Hotel is a gorgeous little gem of a place. The staff were so lovely and friendly. Nothing was a problem. The hotel itself is charming, quirky rooms full of original character. The level of cleanliness was excellent and the food top quality. Its certainly a place to escape to and chill out. Would definitely recommend it. It's also only 5 minutes drive away from the lovely little place of Rye.

Described as charming and 750 years old, this restaurant is intriguing and very beautiful. However, the room's odor is immediately noticeable. Despite the small size of the room and everything inside, along with the low, sloping ceilings (which add to its historic charm), the smell is unpleasant and cannot be masked by opening the small windows. The breakfast was filling and served in a lovely garden setting, making it quite picturesque. I would not recommend staying for more than one or two nights, mainly due to the unpleasant smell.

During this visit, I booked two rooms at Hastings and Battle. The rooms were modern and well-equipped with spacious bathrooms, fluffy towels, a hairdryer, and the most comfortable beds with high-quality pillows and linens. The fridge functioned perfectly, and they also provided tea and coffee-making facilities.

Had a great weekend here. A quaint and quirky B B with masses of character. Relaxed and welcoming service. Plenty of facilities in the rooms. The breakfast wasn't great not v hot and not v well cooked but that was the only downside. The location is great and v quiet.
