The food is exceptional, cooked like a homemade meal should be. The chef does an excellent job, providing a top-notch dining experience.
I visited this restaurant for the first time on a Sunday for the carvery, which was priced at £8 for a regular portion or £10 for a larger portion. The choices of meat were beef, gammon, and pork. We had to wait a long time for our ticket to be called, almost finishing our pints in the meantime. There was no self-service; instead, you tell the staff what you want and they serve it to you. The Yorkshire pudding and mashed potatoes were delicious, while the meat (particularly the pork) was only okay. The cabbage was average, the peas were hard and poor in quality, the stuffing was alright, and the roast potatoes were small in quantity but decent. The dessert was passable and the carrots were fine, but there wasn't much gravy. Overall, the experience was just okay, with a better carvery option located a short drive away. The restaurant had good music playing, and the staff were friendly.
My family and I visited this restaurant for the first time today. It was hands down the best Sunday Carvery we have ever had. I've never had a pub meal that could compare to a homemade meal, but this one exceeded all expectations. The staff and service were fantastic as well. This was our first visit, but certainly not the last. I would give it a perfect 10 out of 10 rating.
This is one of the best places for food IV eaten the staff are great bend over backwards for u and they do good entertainment also. I highly recommend this pub .
A tentative outing after lockdown led us to feed our OAPs. This carvery was the best I've had, and as someone who almost never er likes a carvery, I would go there every sunday. Good food, great value, and great service. Thank you.
