I did request fried chicken, but unfortunately, they didn't have it available. I hope they expand their menu to include more fried options in the future.
I had lunch here yesterday, and I was quite impressed. The lady was managing everything by herself—serving, cooking, and more. I was really impressed with how quickly our dishes arrived. I ordered the Kimchi Jigae, and my partner got the pork Bibimbap. Both dishes came out promptly and were of good quality. The prices are higher than what you might find in the CBD, but that’s understandable since it’s located all the way in Rotorua.
The food is decent, although it’s a bit more expensive than places in Auckland. We ordered pork bulgogi and beef stew, and the flavors were average. The restroom is rather uninviting, so I would recommend avoiding it. Overall, it’s an okay option in Rotorua.
Compared to Auckland, this place is not bad. The flavor of the BBQ beef and BBQ chicken were alright but they didn't have that signature sizzle from the hot plates. The sides were refreshing though and portions were generous.
Great food and fantastic service. It will be a very memorable dining experience for me. The bibimbap I had was tasty and everything was well portioned.
