Bambou - Rouen

A strong 4 family-friendly with delicious food that tastes like it should. excellent quality/price ratio. also very beautiful ambiente and interior decoration in restaurant. clean and super looking toilets! our family of 6 really enjoyed us.

I am asiatin and travels with my family in rouen. I found bambou on tripadvisor as I believed after eating cheese and brot for days to eat Asian food. in restaurant, it is super tiny. the female waitress sat without us. smiled even as my man tried to be friendly and crack an icebreaker with her when he ordered, the waitress held her pokerface all the time. we ordered a few saigon beer (which was cold and good) but they ran out pho and banh cuon! How can that happen? two of the most iconic Vietnamese foods were not available. To be honest, these were the only two articles I wanted. I saw about the bo bun (vermicelli with grilled bark meat) that everyone was eating the part was pathetic small and the meat looked dry.) I don't pay for it euro 9, especially so I didn't even come here. we took the beer and paid, went out with full disappointment. Finally, a large Chinese nudelplatz ho lamain found on the street, although it is a bit expensive, but the vibe and eating were so much better than bambou.

Our first visit this lunchtime, we followed recommendations on TripAdvisor for the Bo Bun house special and were glad we did. Delicious and varied flavours of beef, nems and noodles an excellent introduction to Vietnamese cooking for the uninitiated like us! And very good...value too. We will return.

I have eaten here several times and I always enjoys my meal. It is a small restaurant on a little side street in Rouen. The restaurant is run by a mother and daughter. The only down side is that you sometimes leave the restaurant smelling...like food but I am willing to put up with that because I like the food so much! The food is reasonably priced and I look forward to my next meal there!
