We thoroughly enjoyed it but find it a little pricey.
We were one of only five tables occupied that night. It took about 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive, and after waiting 40 minutes for someone to take our order, I had to track down the waitress myself. My crisp black was gummy and rather unremarkable. My partner's pork knuckle was very dry and overcooked. We were never asked if we wanted more drinks, nor was there any check-in on how our meal was going, and no one collected our plates afterward. I noticed the chefs chatting amongst themselves, so I took my plate to show them how disappointing the food was.
The service took about 20 minutes before we could place our order, and the restaurant wasn't busy at all. The waitress seemed preoccupied with flirting with a young guy at the bar. I ordered a half portion of pork, but they ended up bringing me a full portion instead. Additionally, the meat I received was overcooked. The mashed potatoes were not very good either. I definitely wouldn't return here; I should have gone to Castle Hill instead.
The black bone dish I had was dry and lacked flavor. The crack (presumably a type of food, though the term is unclear) was good, and the imported beer was reasonably priced. The apple strudel was nice, but at $12, it felt a bit overpriced.
