Contribuisci feedbackWe celebrate Mother's Day there and it was truly an experience! First of all the Abbey is beautiful! The gardens and the buildings deserve some time to be contemplated! Dinner was very nice... We had the menu, but I guess in total was like 9 dishes in 3 hours! The food was not surprising but everything was perfectly prepared! The staff was very attentive in willing to help. My husband doesn't eat fish and they manage to change the menu to suit him!In the end we even got some delicious cassis cake to take home!Unforgettable!!! Just wish we were staying there since after the whole thing we still had to drive 40 min back to Beaune!
After giving a brilliant review in 2014 I have no alternative but to retract it completely. Our stay in June 2015 was a total disaster as service and food goes by (no excuse for having the bistro food and service any worse than the food on the gourmet restaurant). Simply terrible. I got an email from the owner asking what the problem was and after answering his questions I never got any feedback from him, simply ignored. What a pity, despite being very difficult to access they could have the ultimate Hotel and Restaurant but as it is they don't deserve any custom.I have no alternative but to start using the Hostellerie de Levernois just outside Beaune which the service has always been impeccable and a lot near to the motorway that takes us to the Cote D'Azur.
Stayed here again 2 nights ago in a lovely superior room overlooking the grounds. Big airy bathroom with double sink, perfect for couples who like their own space.A la carte restaurant was closed so we ate in the bistro, which was lovely. Staff are very helpful, as is the owner, Clive, who keeps a watchful eye over everyone. The grounds are immaculate and well kept, great spot for visiting the vineyards or , like us, a stopover going south. Must mention Michael, their concierge, bellboy, majordomo and all round organizer, who obviously loves the place, and will gladly tell you the history and show you round.
Incredible setting in tastefully restored grounds and premises. Go for the set menu so that you can sample a selection of very well presented and delicious specialties. Service was very attentive. Well worth the visit.
The location is superb, no questions about that. but at a room prices from 230-550 € a hotel has to be measured on that level.excellent are: rooms, absolutely perfect room service, clean, quiet, locationvery good are: food, very friendly dinner-serviceonly average are: - i was not happy with the wine-list (only french wines - somewhat i can understand that - but really heavy priced. wines by the glass from 12 to 18€, at mediocre quality (to my taste)- breakfast service (understaffed, very bad not customer oriented organisation)- if you stay longer than 3 nights, you will start repeat the menue, choices are slim.- no WiFi in your room (you have to stay around the lobby, at least it's free)the last point is not acceptable, because the internal WiFi (locked for hotelguests) is fully available throughout the hotel
