Here are the food we ordered: 1. 10/10 The crispy noodle: is so impressive- very crispy and not soggy at all, which adds a nice contrast to the creamy gravy on top. Very yummy!2. 12/10 The braised beef rice noodle soup: had a rich and flavorful broth, tender and slightly chewy beef, and perfectly cooked noodles. It's my favorite.3. 8/10Fried squid: has a good salt and pepper flavor, the squid inside was a little chewy but taste fresh.Overall, I am impressived by how legit the food is and how nice and traditional the ambiance is. I would definite come back again. Really want to try their chicken wings and beef rice bowl!
Must try Cantonese food! Their signature noodle soup is the house special beef brisket brisket is tender and flavorful. So is the soup. The chicken noodle soup is my favorite. Soup is light and complement the chicken. The ginger and scallion sauce which goes with the chicken is so yummy! Love the chili sauce too! Service is friendly and attentive. This restaurant is inside a street mall food court. It took me sometime to find it the first time. So either follow the signs or go inside the hk supermarket bldg.
I've been to Tai Ping Sa Choi Kee for a few times and I like their Lo Mein with wonton braised beef brisket the most. I tried their sparerib rice in claypot, it had crispy rice at the bottom but the portion was small, taste was okay. The braised tofu was kinda salty. I would not order that dish again or may be ask for less salty next time. It was good overall but the location was pretty bad which is located in an old Chinese market plaza and the parking lot was dirty without maintenance.
Great Hong Kong cafe that's nestled in one of the many Asian plazas in Rowland heights! I was looking for Cantonese breakfast, specifically congee and this place has 4 different types of congee for you to try. The one thing that was a bit frustrating is that they didn't have hot milk tea, only cold. As it was winter during my visit I was really craving hot HK milk tea. I settled for the iced which was good, but it would've been nice if they had both. Their beef stir fry noodles were delicious and my husband being Cantonese said they tasted very authentic. The ladies that own the place are also very sweet and accommodating.
This hidden gem serves the best bo zai fan (claypot rice) in the SGV personally I think it's way tastier and better than Nature Pagoda.Any of the claypot rice is delish but my fave has to be the spare ribs claypot rice. The claypot comes out scorching hot and when they pour on that crack sauce, you hear that satisfying sizzle, the rice is lightly charred and so crispy.. honestly I could eat just the crispy rice and sauce by itself! The spare ribs is tender, seasoned perfectly with a ginger aromatic, ugh it's all so good, I crave this multiple times a week.Tip: It takes about 15 20 minutes for the claypot rice to be ready so call ahead and they'll happily prepare it for you so it's ready when you get there.
