Country Bistro - Rowland Heights

The dishes here are outstanding! I had the beef dry pot, which was both delicious and fragrant. You can adjust the spice level to your preference, and the peanuts in the dish were incredibly aromatic. All the ingredients were packed with flavor, and the beef was wonderfully soft and tender. I also tried the stir-fried noodles with green beans, which made a great alternative to rice as a base for the dry pot. To top it off, the server that day was friendly, energetic, and did a fantastic job recommending dishes. I’ll definitely return to try more!

This place is a wonderfully authentic gem, a bit more refined than a typical hole-in-the-wall. The flavors are genuinely authentic, and while it's slightly pricier, the taste definitely makes it worthwhile. During my visit, it was predominantly filled with Chinese patrons, which speaks volumes about its authenticity. If I lived closer, this would definitely be one of my go-to spots.

This place is an absolute gem in the plaza! I was in the area and wanted to try something new, and I stumbled upon Beijing Tasty House—what a wonderful surprise! We ordered the Spicy Pork Intestines Dry Pot, a Beef Sandwich, and Spicy Steamed Cold Noodles. Each dish exceeded my expectations, especially the dry pot beef sandwich. The flavors are rich and delightfully balanced without being overly salty, so we didn’t feel parched afterward (no excessive MSG here!). The beef sandwich is massive and incredibly juicy. While the prices are a bit higher, the quality and taste of the food make it worth it. We can’t wait to return and try their Peking Duck next time!

The food is authentic and fantastic. We ordered a whole fish, which was cooked to perfection with a wonderful blend of spices and ingredients. I would gladly order this dish repeatedly. The strawberry drink was refreshing and helped balance the heat from the spices—definitely a tolerable level of heat. The only minor critique I have is that the table service could be improved by asking if we wanted any water. It's a small issue, but good customer service matters. We will definitely return to 'Beijing Tasty House' for another meal!
