Dogs welcome in some sharing by standstead.
We had afternoon tea here, lovely setting, nice staff, not over generous on the afternoon tea it has to be said but it was a lovely sunny day and the surroundings are lovely
Food was great, service a tad slow but we went at a very busy time. I'm not sure why they felt they needed to put pineapple in a quiche but webhad a giggle about it with the waitress, after which I ended up ordering the jacket potato instead. They're generous with their helpings and the atmosphere was lovely. Would recommend.
Went for the first time on Easter half term. DIL, granddaughter who is 6 and MIL. Very busy but quickly seated by courteous helpful staff. Excellent menu choice, drinks arrived almost immediately swiftly followed by food. Thoroughly enjoyed a panini with a huge tasty side salad. Great service, excellent food, well priced. Would highly recommend. Love the children's boxed lunch with free pack of seeds
We visited for a late lunch on a Monday, and while there were some challenges with our newborn and a few rambunctious vehicles nearby, the staff was incredibly attentive. They truly care about their customers and excel in what they do. We were seated at a spacious table in the pottery area, which was nice and roomy, making it feel quite comfortable, even with a buggy for our newborn. The ambiance was peaceful, and for that, I’m particularly grateful to the courteous staff. It’s worth mentioning that I am hearing impaired, and at times I find it difficult to hear in some venues. However, that was not the case in this tea room. Even though everyone was busy, I could communicate without issues, which was a pleasant surprise! The food was outstanding, with plenty of family-friendly options. I especially enjoyed the dessert – the scones were amazing, perfectly fluffy and delicious! I highly recommend visiting just for that. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely return. The restrooms were impeccably clean, even during busy times, which is a nice touch. After our meal, we enjoyed a lovely walk through the trees and discovered some fascinating wildlife, including a merlin and buzzards. We then headed over to the garden center for a delightful afternoon.
