I did not appreciate being sat in the back room of the restaurant when there were several tables seemingly empty in the main room. While I was told they were “reserved” I don't recall a prompt in the Open Table app to allow me to select a specific table. I believe my options were location based, but not “the 3rd table from the door in the window.” Additionally, while my party of 4 was there for 2 hours, it seemed like the rush to turn out table was palpable, which made the conversation with my guests difficult as staff was hovering over us every 7-10 minutes after we had completed chewing. You have to do better.
First and foremost the food.......everything we had was spectacular! Started with the calamari, 5 different pasta choices, and ending with dessert! The meatball add on as a protein was worth the extra cost. You will not be disappointed. Server was ok. But the star of the show was the food.
Both our meals were outstanding! I had the blackened salmon with asparagus over wild rice which had a lovely light tomato sauce. My husband had a chicken pasta dish. Prior, he enjoyed a side salad while I selected the Caesar salad, which I was grateful was not drenched in dressing but just right. It was beautiful outside so we selected outdoor dining. We had not been there before and were surprised to be in a courtyard with only 3 tables total. The furniture was nice however there was no ambience. Something that a candle, table runner, few plants could easily change. For the prices, I would have liked a bit better atmosphere. Still, service food were great!
My wife ordered the zucchini noodles with marinara and it came out hot and there was very little chicken, but she enjoyed it. My brisket came out cold and I had to send it back. My salad was halfway done and my food came out, which is one of my pet peeves feels like they're rushing you.
