Ronin Sushi - Royal Oak

Absolutely fantastic sushi and exceptional service! The ambiance was beautifully lit, clearly reflecting their commitment to providing a great dining experience. We didn’t have a reservation, but fortunately, we managed to get a table for two on a bustling weekday evening. The menu featured a wide range of classic and specialty rolls, and we savored every bite, even experimenting with some new options. I particularly loved the spicy tuna roll and the salmon nigiri—I'll definitely be returning to sample more. Service: Dine-in.

I've been patronizing this place for 4 years, but the past two times I've gone, they've gotten my order wrong. Although they seemed happy to remedy their mistake, the corrections were terrible. The last two times I've gone, I ordered through the take away window, and both times the girls got my order wrong. The first time, they fixed my order, but gave me the worst sushi roll I've ever had in my life. Tonight, another girl got my order wrong, corrected her mistake, but I just so happened to find a strand of her hair in my food? A long, semi-curly, strawberry blonde hair in my food; That's not a common hair-type. I live 20 minutes away from the restaurant, was too tired to go back I didn't feel comfortable raising another concern to the staff. The quality of the food was better when I ordered online vs when I ordered in-person. I'm not trying to play the race card, but why did the service quality decrease significantly when I started ordering in person? Is it because I'm Black? Oakland County is known to be racist, so I shouldn't be surprised. Won't be patronizing this establishment again.
