ATM available (Comerica) and clean restrooms. Pro tip: parking is free during market hours. Don't pay the meters during market events! An update a few years later. Still a pretty great farmers market parking is a little bit more of a cluster you know what now because they took a lot of the lot away and built city offices new police department, a courthouse, etc. however the structure nearby to the west has two hours of free parking and you can usually park pretty close on the main floor so just park there and walk through the new plaza. Vendors are still pretty cool and it is definitely pet friendly still in there
Great place to shop. If it a produce market or a type of event as a collectable show it's always a fun outing. Parking is good for the most part and the surrounding area is very nice. Great way to spend a Saturday or Sunday, to catch the excitement that is always happening.
We had a good time browsing at the Royal Oak farmer's market. The fruit and preserves will make a nice addition to the next few meals prepared at home.In addition to the variety of vendors with vegetables, fruit, other plants, and meats, the permanent booths let us grab lattes to sip as we browsed, along with other offerings. Today's trip wasn't focused on craft items or clothing, but I was surprised at the range of offerings, from handmade soaps, to clothes, to a vendor with a wide selection of vinyl records.
Meh. They have a lot of overpriced junk here. Patrons are empty headed and self centered. People will mindlessly stand in your way. There were a bunch of old people walking around with their nasty little dogs on long leashes today. People will take cuts in line. If I had to sum up the crowd in a single word it would be inconsiderate. The vendors are just on a cash grab selling lousy products at premium prices. Most are unable to answer simple questions. The farmer’s market is trash. Don’t waste your time going here.
