The Welcome Hotel - Rozelle

Both lunch and the beer were excellent eating much better than standard pig fees. as a cloudy, cool day sausage and mash were the best fit. the right bud was accompanied by a well seasoned creamy mash with tasteful wobble engraving and lick. the chicken carving was moist and the crispy coating can be removed. a well-dressed leaf salad loved the sneaky and no balsam or sugar) ended the dinge. the white bay lager 'backey ' with good bitterness) and guinness went well. slightly more expensive than standard powder food, but much higher standard!

I really enjoy the atmosphere and beer at this pub, but I was very disappointed with the lunch I had on Saturday. My friend and I shared a special dish, but the portion size was very small. We also ordered mussels, wurst, and steak with fries. The steak was overcooked and not cut properly, but still tasty. The mussels were only half cooked and not served with tomato for dipping. The meal was quite expensive and not worth the price. Overall, we were disappointed with the food and service for the price we paid. I may reconsider returning for dinner, but the bar staff and beer were great. I would give this pub 3 stars for the service and drinks, but only 2 stars for the lunch.

As the mighty fell. what was a facility for quality craftsmanship had invaded a local sweat. what was once the “best hotel restaurant in the inner west” in a embarrassing “Pitt st pub like” operation, pommes, pommes, pommes frites. the signature schwein cottoletta was placed by 40 moderate steak 35 for 1/2 kilo muscheln, they do not eat there if they can. total, overpriced, bad quality, mediocre pub food.... the high-quality craftsmen were bitterly replaced by melbourne. friendly clientele, replaced by rodel. and for the personal, as for other reviews, unpredictable ..

Very disappointing. I had visited this hotel several years ago and the dining room was separated and quiet, and eating was good. now the dining room is no longer separated and is loud and unpleasant and eating was very average. I understand that businesses are trying to decouple losses from the pandemic, but I fear I will not return.

We had a family birthday lunch here on Sunday and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was delicious, service super friendly and wine above average. Highly recommend a visit.
