The Village Buttery - Ruidoso

Through rain Shine, perfect lunch and dessert. Dessert was 1st!!

My husband and I went here for lunch today and the food was FANTASTIC. This is going to become a popular spot for us. I got the chicken salad sandwich and a tomato basil soup and he got the crab salad sandwich with a side of pasta salad. We also got a slice of buttermilk pie for dessert. YUM YUM YUM! Highly recommend this place!

Quite possibly one of the best places for a bite to eat in Ruidoso. Fast and kind service, delicious sandwiches, delectable soup and not to mention the revelation that is the Green Chile Apple Pie! I joined my sister for a quick lunch after work and will definitely be back to enjoy the gorgeous patio vibes and utterly amazing food. Thank you so much Village Buttery for an experience I will not soon forget!?

The food is good and I love the patio. I think they should make some improvements on their payment process though. When you order at the counter, they tell you you’ll pay after. I’d assume that would mean I would pay at the table and a waitress would take my payment. But instead, you have to go back inside, which is usually crowded, and pay at the register inside. It’s just not efficient and confusing. They should either take your payment once you order or have the waitress take your payment from your table.

Beautiful place, definitely recommend sitting outside and enjoying the view of the road and the forest, with the wind sweeping across your face...had the chicken tortellini, vanilla crème soda (best), Chocolate meringue, BLT sandwich...
