The portion sizes are very generous. To top off my meal, I had the homemade cheesecake with blueberries and fresh whipped cream. I was blown away by how incredible this restaurant is and how fantastic the food tastes. YOU HAVE TO EAT HERE!!!
The menu may be small, but every dish is truly delicious. The atmosphere strikes a balance between casual and slightly formal. The waitress was very pleasant, and the prices are fantastic.
I was passing through Bar Harbor and decided to stop by this restaurant. The place looks fantastic, and I really appreciate seeing an open kitchen. I ordered the Putanesca, and it was simply incredible—definitely a dish to die for! It had a slight kick, was light, but had just the right amount of cheese to give it a creamy flavor. As someone from out of town, I would gladly have it shipped to me if that were possible. It’s the best pasta dish I've had in a long time!
Open for eight years and still going strong! I recently visited for the first time with my wife, and I honestly can't believe we hadn't been here sooner. I highly recommend making time to experience Brian’s Bistro. Whether you're grabbing drinks with friends or enjoying a meal, they've got a lovely bar area and a dining room where you can see the talented chefs, led by Chef Brian, in action. The waitstaff is attentive and friendly, and there are smiles all around. In short, the food is prepared with care, served warm, and consistently excellent. I urge you to visit and see for yourself—Rumford has a real gem here! Thank you, Brian, for chatting with us at our table tonight. We look forward to coming back! Pat and Jen
I dined at Brian's Bistro for the first time on Wednesday, March 9, around 7:15 PM. Upon entering, I felt that first impressions are crucial. I was looking forward to a lovely evening out with my girlfriend, coupled with great food, but I only got half of that. The company was, as always, wonderful. However, the food left much to be desired. The overpriced fried seafood platter was disappointing, featuring just three very small scallops, three tiny shrimp, and one and a half pieces of fish, accompanied by a handful of steak fries. The coleslaw was served unusually warm. At $17.95, I really don't feel like I got my money's worth. As a chef with a background from the Culinary Institute of America and Johnson & Wales, I understand the importance of value as both a customer and a service provider. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to that bistro again.
