Casa Nova - Runnymede

I had made a reservation for lunch on the 23rd of September to meet up with my elderly Aunt and Uncle. Upon arrival, we were informed that we needed to be finished by 2pm. The waiter then told us about the lunch specials. When we placed our orders, three of us requested simple modifications to our meals - two of us wanted our salads without dressing and one of us asked for a sauce on the side. Unfortunately, the waiter responded rudely, saying that our requests would ruin the taste of the food. He even told the diner asking for the sauce on the side to choose something else from the menu. We only stayed because of our elderly guests, had the 10% service charge removed from our bill, and left. We have never experienced such rude service in any restaurant before. We will not be returning and hope that the restaurant reflects on this incident to serve their customers better in the future.

The restaurant was excellent and could not have been any better. Despite there being ten of us, the service was impeccable. The waiters were very attentive and on top of everything.

We had a delightful meal with plenty of choices at this restaurant. We had dined here before the COVID-19 pandemic and decided to give it another try. We were not disappointed. The meal was delicious, particularly the sauce on my fillet of pork and the crispy courgettes as a side. The prices for the dishes seemed reasonable, but with wine and a pre-dinner drink, the bill came out to 114£. We felt it was worth it for the nice ambiance and attentive service.

There has to be a special place, one that is your go to Restaurant when you like to spoil yourself a friend or loved one. I can’t say we are regulars yet but hope one day we will be. Ok it’s not the cheapest but boy do you get what you pay for! The food is amazing, the staff friendly and very professional at all times and very happy to guide you through the menu. Tonight my Wife and I took our Son along to celebrate her birthday, again the food we ordered was simply fantastic, having said that it always has been. Being a Tuesday night at first we had the place to ourselves but later a few more tables filled. We had the opportunity to speak with the owner about the food and how it’s cooked which was interesting even gaining a few tips which I hope my Wife picked up ; . I can understand that when the place is full it would be hard to chat with all the guests like this. We left feeling full, satisfied and like we had just been on holiday, it really is a special little restaurant and we will be back. A well deserved five stars from us!

Casa Nova in a good traditional Italian restaurant with the typical dishes one expects in such type of venue. The service is always professional and friendly with Jose and Carlo. Well worth a visit.
