We had lunch at Kings Head on Sunday. This was a first visit to my wife and I, and we must say everything from service to food was exceptional. We booked a table for 1.30 a.m., but came 10 minutes too late for traffic, but no problem, everything was ready for us. We ordered both Sunday Roast, there was a selection of 3 meats you could mix and combine what was a nice surprise, plus lots of vegetables. The meal was great and so much of it, no slipping on portions here. We followed with a dessert, and again the portions were large, it is definitely one of the best Sunday dinners we had everywhere. Add beautiful, friendly staff to the mix, plus a great pinch of beer, you have all made for a very pleasant couple of hours. We will definitely return, and it also has dog friendly, that is the icing on the cake for us. Thank you very much, we look forward to seeing you again.
Can't get high enough. Menu is 'basic', but **** good. All food cooked to order. Bar area is cozy (Log Brenner) and very friendly. Extreme dog friendly. The Landlady has four dogs themselves (2 Labradoren, Old English Sheepdog and a German Sheepdog) who will meet you...safely) Proper Dorf Pub 't expect 'frills '
No hesitation to return for my birthday pint and lunch. Traditional pub, locally managed, log fire, tasty house made steak pie as depicted here. Try it!!
Went here for a meal and wasn't disappointed. Prompt and friendly service, tasty food and good portions at affordable prices. Definitely will be back.
