This was by far the worst piece of meat my wife and I have experienced at this restaurant after visiting over ten times. While the flavor was still good, the cuts of meat were disappointing. It's unfortunate that the restaurant is closing down. Additionally, the drunk patrons at the bar made it difficult to enjoy a quiet meal with my wife!
We had to ask two different staff members a total of four times for our drinks. Eventually, my husband took the initiative to approach the bar to order a glass of Cabernet and a Margarita, which was made incorrectly not once, but twice. Our dinners arrived hot, but they were served before our salads, which we had to request and then wait for after receiving our entrees. I ordered the filet, cooked medium rare, with asparagus and a Caesar salad (no croutons), while my husband also ordered the filet, medium rare, with mashed potatoes and a house salad. Overall, the meals were good but not exceptional. Given the prices, we had expected a fantastic experience. No effort was made to address the long wait for our food and drinks or the mix-up with our orders. Our waitress had a rather lifeless demeanor, while the bartender was pleasant. We left a 10% tip and attributed it to the staffing issues that evening. I recommend calling ahead to ensure they have enough staff; otherwise, it may not be worth the visit.
We had heard so much about the great steaks...we ordered the steak for two. It was cooked to order but had so much gristle we could only eat about a third of it.The garlic biscuits should be rated a one star. No garlic flavor at all! They looked like beignets without the powdered suger or good flavor. This may be our first and last visit.
Unless you want to spend $30 per steak and be disappointed pass on this one . We seen the road signs that said this was a two star Michelin restaurant/ steakhouse so we decided to try it . We ordered two New York strips at 6:30 in the afternoon on a Friday night for our anniversary dinner. The lovely waitress came back said there was only one New York strip available. Obviously, they’re only serving so many New York strip and running out at 6:30 in the evening and then pushing the rest of their meat so I gave the New York steak to my husband. I ordered ribeye steak and it was severely over cooked and my husband’s New York strip came bone in. Neither of us were impressed. I did not want to make any waves being it was our anniversary so I just ate a few bites of my steak and I took the rest home to warm-up for leftovers with rice like a stir-fry. This was a one and done restaurant for us. We will not come back to this restaurant. Trust me, there’s only so many people that will come here once !!!
