The Rib Shack - Ruston

This is one of those proverbial “hole in the wall” places on Ruston’s southside. Specialty is barbecue ribs but other meats are available as well as stuffed potatoes. It doesn’t look like much from the outside or the inside either for that matter. It is strictly to go. The three of us got rib plates. I got the three rib plate with potato salad and baked beans. It also comes with a slice of bread, a bit of purple onion, a couple of banana peppers, and a pickle spear. The ribs were some of the best I have ever had and the barbecue sauce, which comes in mild or hot, is excellent. The hot is really not that spicy. Great food, orders prepared promptly, no complaints at all. Don’t let the exterior of the place deter you. Give it a try.

Ordered a potato with sour cream and butter only. When I got home I discovered that the potato was turning brown and old.

TASTELESS, THE YOUNG MAN THAT WORKS THERE HAS ONLY ONE GLOVE ON AND HE TOUCHES EVERYTHING AND MAKING PLATE WITH THAT GLOVELESS HAND.

INCREDIBLE RIBS!!! These are, without a doubt, the best dry rub ribs we've ever tasted. They also provide both mild and spicy BBQ sauces on the side for those who want an extra kick. Please note that it's carry-out only.
