Contribuisci feedbackAs a local I have visited the Bradford for drinks on many occasions. After it originally opened many years ago I did eat there but since avoided it as in the past I found it to be over priced and the food quality poor. BUT the management and owners have changed since then (as mates who drink there often have told me) so this week I gave it another try. I was pleasantly surprised with how cheap the nightly specials are and the food quality was higher than you expect for a pub feed! We had such a good time that my partner commented we should visit Looms Restaurant weekly!
We were staying at the Gateway hotel and strolled over for a feed.Menu had your typical pub food with pub portion which was great. I would suggest that you book a table as this place is pretty popular. The bar staff were friendly and helpful.
Busy little restaurant with a $12 lunch menu. Standard pub menu on offer – we chose the salt & pepper squid and battered fish with chips and salad. Both meals good and filling enough for lunch. The bistro was pretty busy but the food was served within good time. Nothing to fault here.
Well the hotel and restaurant are in Rutherford not Sydney!. We dropped in for lunch, they did have a Seniors menu as well as the normal menu which offered a reasonable range of dishes. As the food is cooked after ordering it means a small wait but then the food has not been sitting under a heater drying out. The Caesar Salad was not the best, too strong a dressing and they were very tight with the additions besides the lettuce leaves. My fish and chips were fresh and a good size for the price. The hamburger was also good value for the money. There is also a new outdoor area with large screen TVs which was popular with the tradies.
The Bradford had a large number of people in the indoor/outdoor eating areas, so it is obviously popular with many families. It's OK for a cheap family night out and it has specials throughout the week. There is a large menu of mostly standard pub food such as pizzas, pasta, burgers etc. There are a couple of gluten-free options and the gluten-free chicken breast with stuffed prawns was very tasty. However, the surf and turf was an expensive disappointment as the steak was not cooked as requested and was quite chewy. Staff were busy but they didn't seem particularly cheerful; a smile goes a long way with customers.
