Popular place. Generous portions but the 35 minute wait is just too much. I appreciate people want their fish fresh but if you know a Friday is going to be busy, bang a load of fish in the fryer like other chippies and keep them in the warmer. They won’t be there for long. Poor girl working behind the counter was rushed off her feet but she was calm and very apologetic about the long wait. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Chips were over cooked and soggy. Not fresh despite the order being cooked to order. Cheese and onion pie was like cheese sauce in pastry, no solid at all. Battered sausage like no other, was like wrapped in a soggy pancake! Weird. Beans luke warm. Overall was just about ok but not nice enough to make me want to use again. We chose here for meal as all rhe chinese takeaways had such bad reviews. Should have gone by other reviews and given it a miss. Vegetarian options: Cheese and onion pie was weird.
