Barbarella Restaurant Bar - S San Diego

I've come here a handful of times and I feel like it's gotten worse every time. Our food took 40+ minutes and was mediocre at best dry chicken parm, the pizza was definitely sitting at the heater for too long. The main issue tonight was the table next to us they didn't get the correct food and politely asked for a correction but their order didn't come out for over an hour, the server never even went over to rectify the situation! A different server came over (again over an hour later) and said he'd discount that dish and bring it out or he could remove it from the bill and they could pay the bill without it. As a veteran in the industry, I was appalled and that situation being so close to our table made our dining experience very awkward. Either way, I likely won't dine here again.

Beautiful location and few blocks off the water on a street converted to pedestrian walking only. Parking is an adventure. Once your seated, we were outdoors, the ambiance and service was excellent. I had the oven baked salmon. Large, very tasty serving. Took a walk along the beach afterwards. Perfect Friday night date night

Dinner with my family at one of our favorite spots, where we usually enjoy great service and this time was no exception. The staff was attentive and friendly as always. However, the food left something to be desired during this visit. The steak, usually a highlight, was disappointingly tough. While we've had many good experiences here, last night didn't meet the usual standards.

Went here for brunch. It's a cute little spot and the food was delicious. It's a little pricey but it's in the heart of the La Jolla shores area so it's expected.

Branzino was a special item on the menu and absolutely delicious! A very generous portion so easy to split. Mussels also mouth watering. Festive fun and colourful atmosphere with excellent service!
