Guava Beach Grill - S San Diego

Fun place to watch a game and get a beer. They have tons of TVs here. Margarita de casa was good. Food came out hot. We just ordered some apps and it wasn’t anything special. If I went back I would ask for server recommendations on the food.

The guacamole and pulled pork sandwich were both delicious. The tortilla chips tasted home made. It was all delicious including the blood orange margarita! Yummy! ?

JUNE 2024 Dinner on a Friday at 5pm. Got seated and no one showed up to speak to us for ~15 min. It took the manager coming over to finally get service. We were the only table with no water or utensils until requested by me. Happy hour was the real scam. House margaritas ALLEGEDLY $7 and that was what was ordered but once the bill came it turned out it was charged for the LARGE margarita which was not under happy hour rules. I’m sure they can rebut and say it was a misunderstanding but the waitress thought she had seen “us a few days ago” and seemed to be flirting sitting down in the booth with other customers and not very attentive to the order she was given. So likely due to her being high or something we had our order confused and happy hour, the giant sign on the beach, the entire point of going here, was not discounted. In this day of excuses for everything in California and why it’s too much money, this is yet another scam. The food was tasteless too. Make dinner at home. Avoid this spot or you’ll be just as pissed off as I was afterwards.

Absolutely delicious food!! The drinks were very tasty as well.

Great little bar restaurant right on Mission Beach. Easy to get to service was good. Drinks were good. Food was excellent.
