Contribuisci feedbackThe first time I visited Izola was back in April and after that, I only get croissants at Izola. You can truly taste the freshness of each baked good and never disappoints.I adore the open space of the bakery and how there’s plenty of seating to sit and enjoy a coffee and pastry by yourself or with company. I do prefer ordering a few days beforehand and picking up, so I appreciate that there’s a designated line for pick up orders, or you can request to have it delivered to your car outside.I recently learned there’s live music on Saturday mornings, so I’m looking forward to visiting again and experiencing that.Izola is definitely a must try if you love pastries, more specifically croissants and sourdough bread.
We drove from the CA/Oregon border to enjoy the San Diego area for a few days and I can’t tell you how impressed we were with our experience! We ordered online, didn’t wait long for our food, dined in, had amazing service, and had the best croissants we’ve ever had! Only positive feedback here! We had the blackberry chocolate croissant, chocolate almond croissant, everything croissant, morning bun, and the Tahitian vanilla knot and we died of happiness!
To say this is one of the best bakeries I’ve ever been to would not be an overstatement. They have incredible pastries and a variety of sourdough breads for purchase. My favourite items that I had were the plain croissant that is just so buttery, and the morning bun, which is reminiscent of a cinnamon donut. The space is also gorgeous, full of natural light and has live music performances. To avoid the line I recommend pre-ordering your food online.
The best croissant I’ve ever had!! Its so crispy outside and so soft inside!! I went to try croissant once and had to go back everyday I was in SD. I tried the everything croissant and Moroccan Black Olive Chocolate Croissant and they were both so delicious. I also took sourdough back home with me which was also so good! I can’t wait to try it again when I visit SD!!
Absolutely loved it! To start off love their store the ambience is unique very big city downtownish vibe. Very bright and inviting. Staff is friendly. Laid back atmosphere great for hanging out. And finally the croissants.... yes amazing!! Must try for everyone in San Diego. World class croissants. But be sure to ore order because many are sold out on the same day so pre order online day before to ensure you get what you want. Ofcourse as with most speciality restaurants these days expect to pay a hefty price for the croissants :
