Hidden gem. Quaint but very authentic. Some people might be put off by their location and hand written menu. This is what keeps me coming back for more. Their attention is in the quality of the food, the rest is just trivial to the chefs. For example, sometimes I'm served packaged tortillas, other times they are freshly hand made. Same goes for their chips. It's almost as if my own mother was running this place.
We enjoyed everything about this place. The people, the environment, and the food. The tamales are amazing! My favorite are the green and red chicken tamales. I agree, it 's a hidden gem . If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, this is the place.
A place you have to try... Definitely recommend the place, service is awesome. Food is so delicious.
The building is honestly just gross, but we wanted to give it a shot. It was soooo hot in there.. They had a small rolling window type unit but the tube is piped into the mail slot. The mail slot is closed on the outside, so it's literally just creating heat.. After ordering and paying, they then informed me that 2 of the 3 items we ordered were out of stock.. Ok.. well we will settle for what they do have in place of what we ordered. It was all garbage, every bit of it. Torta was bland, meat was hard, tortilla on burrito couldn't even be cut with a knife, no cheese existed in the smothered burrito we ordered, with cheese. Anyways, we ended up throwing away more than half our takeout. Won't be returning unfortunately.. tried to support small business but this was a mistake on our part.
